This annual event is meant to bring together existing and new members in celebration of the previous years achievements and in anticipation of upcoming activities. New members were initiated, our new officers were installed and new and old members alike took a moment to get to know each other.

The last event of the day was a panel presentation consisting of 5 professional counselors from the community. Each professional spoke to the question "With respect to your specialty, what is the current state of the counseling profession in the Phoenix area, and what employment trends do you envision for the next 5 years?" Panel members included Shannon Arriola (mediation), Heather Keller (EAP), Tom McSherry (crisis intervention), Tammy Ohm (child abuse), and Glenn Tanita (managed care). John Nixon, Ed. D. was the mediatior, and time was alloted following the presentation for discussion as well as questions from chapter members and guests.

This presentation was a huge success. Panel members provided eye-opening information for all of us regarding various counseling specialties in our community. Our chapter is indebted to all of these folks for their willingness to share both time and information!
